Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

At Tangible.pics, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our photo album creation service.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly when using our service:

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our website.

  • Email address (for account creation and login)
  • Name (optional, for personalizing your experience)
  • Shipping address (when you place an order)
  • Photos you upload (to create your albums)
  • Usage data (pages and screens visited, steps you complete while creating an album, features used, platform and app version)
  • Access logs (IP address, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from the IP)

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process and deliver your album orders
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Improve our service and develop new features
  • Send important updates about your orders and account
  • Remind you about albums you left unfinished and offer help to complete them (you can object at any time)

Google Photos data access and use

When you choose to import photos from Google Photos, Tangible.pics uses the Google Photos Picker API. We only access the photos and videos you explicitly select in Google's official picker; we do not access or scan the rest of your Google Photos library.

The photos you select are downloaded once, solely to include them in your album. We do not retain the access token after the import completes, and we do not use this data for analytics, advertising, or to train AI models. Photos are deleted from our servers when you delete your album or your account.

Tangible.pics's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI-generated title suggestions

When you create an album, Tangible.pics can suggest titles for the cover. To do so it builds a single thumbnail image from the photos you chose for the cover and your favourites (topped up with other photos from the same album when there are few), and sends it together with the photos’ dates and places to Anthropic, the provider of the AI model that generates the suggestions.

Anthropic acts as a data processor on our behalf and, under its commercial terms, does not use this data to train its models. The image is generated on the fly for that request and we do not store it. Suggestions are only proposals: you can ignore them, edit them or write your own title, and the step works the same without them.

How we store your data

Your photos are stored securely on encrypted servers (Cloudflare R2) and are only accessible by you. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

Photos uploaded to our platform are stored for the duration of your account. You can delete your photos and account at any time.

Access logs — IP address, device and approximate location — are kept for a maximum of 90 days and deleted automatically afterwards. We use them to understand how the service is used and to detect abuse, never to build advertising profiles.

The usage log — which album-creation steps you complete, from which platform and when — does not include your IP address and is kept for as long as your account exists; it is deleted with it. We use it to understand where people get stuck and improve the service, and to remind you by email or notification about an album you left unfinished. You can object to those reminders at any time by writing to us or turning notifications off.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share your data with third parties necessary to provide our service:

  • Printing partners (Gelato) — to produce your albums
  • Payment processors (Stripe) — to process your payments securely
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — to store and serve your content
  • AI provider (Anthropic) — to suggest cover titles from a thumbnail of your photos, and to help us write the reminders we send you. For reminders it only receives which step you stopped at, counts (such as how many photos your album has) and how long ago, never your name, your email, the names of your albums or your location; a person reviews every message before it is sent

Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Object to the processing of your personal data
